What’s on at Liverpool Food and Drink Festival (19th – 20th September, 2015, Sefton Park, Liverpool)
Calling all foodies – The Liverpool Food and Drink Festival is back in town.
Set to excite epicures everywhere, the event will take place in the city’s Sefton Park on the 19 and 20 September 2015.
Now in its eighth year, the two-day event will feature more than 100+ of Liverpool’s top restaurants and bars, celebrity chefs, expert demos and live entertainment, as well as dedicated areas concentrating on beer & bangers, healthy eating, booze from north of the border and much more.
Celebrity chefs confirmed to be showing off their skills at the festival include Rachel Khoo (The Little Paris Kitchen, BBC), Valentine Warner (What to Eat Now, BBC) and Richard Burr (The Great British Bake-Off, BBC) Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley AKA Hemsley & Hemsley. Richard Burr and Hemsley + Hemsley will be appearing on the Saturday, while Valentine Warner and Rachel Khoo will be appearing on the Sunday. Each chef will do two demos in total.
There’ll also be masterclasses on everything from wine to chocolate, while Liverpool’s very own “Curry Evangelist”, Nisha Katona of Mowgli, will be running a ‘Curry Clinic’ – a crash course in India’s favourite dish for anyone who wants to cook authentic Indian curry at home.
Now in its eighth year, Liverpool Food and Drink Festival regularly attracts over 45,000 visitors. This year will see the return of the top restaurants and bars in Liverpool as well as areas dedicated to street food, producers, cafes, wines and spirits, beers and bangers and children’s activities.
