Recently under new management, the Meat Factory is Lark Lane’s haven for carnivores, burger fanatics and whiskey connoisseurs.
From the outside, the bright purple neon signs hanging in the window give a hint of the American influenced food awaiting you within.
Inside, the restaurant features exposed brick, steel scaffolding table legs, and handsome wooden table tops hand-painted with iconic artwork from around the USA. The feel is reminiscent of NYCs Meat Packing district. The subtly themed decor continues around the dining area. Beside the booths, walls are decorated with images of hot dogs, bourbon bottles, burgers and BBQs, as well as a couple of quotes to get you in the mood. Serving up a range of American classics, there is enough on the extensive menu to satisfy even the biggest appetites. Firm favourites include the Brooklyn Big Ass burger which stacks a fresh beef patty, double bacon, jack cheese, corn fritter, pulled pork, lettuce, onion ring, slaw and MFn sauce.
Another item which keeps diners coming back is the Hoisin Duck Fries. When you take a heap of fries, top them with fresh Hoisin Duck, chopped cucumber and spring onion, you know you’re in for a treat. Perfect alone as a starter, or added beside a burger for a real meat feast.
As well as the deliciously decadent duck fries, you can choose from salt & pepper fries, pulled pork fries, chilli cheese fries, or sweet potato alternatives.
The meats are carefully sourced from trusted suppliers around the North West, using local family owned farms wherever possible to ensure our food is of the best quality.
This focus on quality continues in the kitchen where our team of chefs work hard to serve up everything from hearty breakfasts to mountainous mixed grills. This dedication to the food we serve can be seen in our pulled pork; fresh pork shoulders, marinated in-house for 24 hours using a secret family recipe, then slowly and patiently cooked for at least 8 hours until it’s mouth wateringly tender.
For those who prefer to customise their cuisine, we offer a Create Your Own Burger. Start with the perfect foundation of a rump steak patty on a brioche bun. Then add your choice of pulled pork, bacon, corn fritter, onion ring, beef chilli, jack cheese, nachos, slaw, southern fried chicken, and jalapenos. Prefer hot dogs? Don’t worry; you can also build your own dog using the same options.
Along with the extensive list of meat-sweat-inducing dishes, there is also a wide range of bottled beers, draught lagers, spirits and cocktails to accompany your meal perfectly. The bar area is adorned with Brooklyn Brewery and Budweiser neons, and both of these brews are available on tap.
After your burgers, fries, steaks and wings have been conquered, we seriously recommend you sample the milkshakes which are all made to order. The Kinder Bueno shake is the perfect way to round off a meal (provided you can save room!).
